    I have selected music from those who have been copied by many over the years and who have come up with definitive sounds and hot licks.  Even if you don't listen to "steal the licks", these CDs have many songs, lead licks, and instrumentals; which are just enjoyable to listen to them.  And remember: "To steal from someone is plagiarism.  To lift licks from everybody is research and development".  What you do then, after borrowing from everybody, is to adapt it and add your own flavor/spice to it.

    Your best music lesson is one where you are listening...this is one of many reasons God gave us all two (2) ears and one (1) mouth/voice, to be used in this proportion.
